Miss Cummings’ 4K class released their butterflies today! We ended up having 9 caterpillars transform into butterflies! The kids have patiently enjoyed watching them go through their life cycle and discussing the changes we saw along the way.🦋

GT students researched summer Olympics, including locations and events. Students were then challenged to create a mini version of an event using basic classroom supplies. Then, they participated in the mini Summer Olympics, DES style. Needless to say, they had a blast! Make sure you catch some of the 2024 Summer Olympics, Paris, France.
Today we celebrated some of our former students as Pickens High School Class of 2024 walked the halls of their former elementary school. We wish all of our former Dolphins the very best life has to offer! #dacusvillegrown

Della Watkins, 5th grader at Dacusville Elementary, was the state 5th grade winner in the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Essay Contest. Essays were judged for historical accuracy, adherence to the topic, organization of materials, interest, originality, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and neatness.
